Chancel Choir is a mixed ensemble comprised of volunteers. We sing a wide variety of music for the 11am worship service, ranging from Bach and Mozart to Gospel. Chancel Choir meets to rehearse each Wednesday evening from 7-8:30pm, and child care is offered during all rehearsals. New singers are welcome at any time!
Westminster Chimes meets each Tuesday evening from 7-8:30pm. This group of dedicated ringers participate in worship every 4-6 weeks during the school year. We currently ring three octaves of Schulmerich bells, and new ringers and substitutes are always welcome.
Children’s Choirs meet each Sunday afternoon during the regular school year from 4:45-6pm. We have two ensembles: Pre-K – 1st grade and 2nd-5th grade. The goal of children’s choirs is to have fun learning about music, and at the same time to prepare to share music with the congregation a few times per semester. The emphasis is on building community and participating in music. On any given Sunday, children may sing, play hand chimes, play rhythm instruments, or do movement.
If you are interested in participating in one of these ensembles, getting involved by playing an instrument, or helping out on the sound board, contact Karrie Rushing for more information.
