EXPLORING GOD'S LOVE

Your children are going to love coming to FPC where we believe that our children come FIRST! Every Sunday morning is packed with friendships and meaningful activities designed to encourage children to explore God’s love and discover what He can do through them.

Sunday Childcare

Care is offered in the children's wing all morning on Sundays. Our nursery is open to children 0-2 and available from 8:15 am - 12:15pm on Sundays (9:20 - 11:20am through the summer months). We also have a room for our 3-5 year olds with access to the playground. Our nursery is staffed by trained and caring professionals each Sunday!

Kids Connect

We welcome ALL children in worship. PreK-5th graders have the opportunity to leave for Kids Connect before the sermon. In this fun, high energy class kids will experience an age-appropriate Bible lesson that will teach them about God and God's love for them. Teachings are interactive and utilize multiple approaches for different learning styles.

Creative Activities

We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels at home. Our goal is to make learning and engagement enjoyable experiences for all. With our fun songs and creative crafts, your child will leave Sunday mornings full of excitement and joy!

WHAT TO EXPECT

After you park in the lots off 14th or Elm streets, head for the big glass doors to meet us in the Welcome Center. We'll have folks who can help you find the Sanctuary or Children's Ministry Hallway which are all on the first floor.

If your kids are heading into worship with you, make sure to stop by our Liturgical Library outside the Sanctuary doors to pick up:

  • Worship Bags - We've got bags geared for preschoolers and elementary aged kids filled with age appropriate, engaging, and fun worship work.
  • Pew Projects - Check out the small table for activities, games, and crafts that are specific for the service and scriptures.
  • Liturgical Library - On the shelves along the wall you'll find books, fidgets, ribbons, and other fun, quiet worship supports to keep active minds, hearts, and hands busy.

  • What if I have a child with special needs?

We welcome ALL children to worship and learn with us. We keep our ratios of adults to children low so that we can give each child the care they need. Our professional staff and caring volunteers are eager for your guidance about how best to support your child. Please contact Trista Kremer, Children's Ministry Director, to learn more.

  • Do I need to bring snacks?

We provide snacks and are ready to accomodate needs like peanut free, dairy free, gluten free, or dye free. If you have different needs, or would prefer to bring your own snacks, please speak to the teacher when you drop off your child. We prioritize snack safety and health for all children, and we'll always make sure there is plenty of joy as well!

  • Can I attend children's programming with my child?

You are welcome to attend children's programming with your child. When attending as a parent or caregiver for a specific child, we welcome your support for that child. If you'd like to become an official volunteer, we're happy to guide your through our background check and training process.
