Mission Trips & Retreats

Mission trips and retreats allow our youth to immerse themselves in transformative experiences to deepen their faith and ignite their passion for serving others. Our mission trips and retreats are the perfect blend of adventure and growth, creating space for middle and high school students to encounter Jesus in new and exciting ways.

4th & 5th Graders

Join Us For Fab Friday

Our 4th and 5th graders come together on the third Friday of each month for food, fellowship and fun. Confirmation

Confirmation Class offers our Youth an opportunity to reaffirm their faith and become active members of our congregation by confirming their beliefs. Having established a solid foundation from years of participation in Sunday School, Fab Friday, and Youth Group, this journey is made possible with the unwavering love and support of their families. Eligible members, in 8th grade or higher, start the class in October, meeting weekly for lessons, attending 3 retreats, and engaging in service projects. Each Confirmand chooses a dedicated Elder/Mentor to provide support and guidance throughout their spiritual path. The Confirmation Sunday ceremony usually takes place in May, following various community service activities such as working at the Food Bank, Third Street School, church grounds maintenance, and assisting at Winterville Manor. The final overnight retreat focuses on completing classes and crafting personal faith statements to culminate this transformative experience.

FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS

VISIT UKIRK

UKIRK (meaning University Church) is a network of ministries supported by the Presbyterian Church (USA) charged with reaching, loving, and teaching college students so that they may be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.  UKirk of Eastern North Carolina is supported by a group of local PC(USA) churches, First Presbyterian Church being among them.

UKIRK is open to all people, places, and experiences, because, as it has been stated, collegiate ministry is a lot of things, and we just can’t miss out on any of it!

UKIRK of East Carolina meets most Thursdays at First Presbyterian Church from 6-8pm. For more information visit the UKIRK website www.ukirkec.org.
